Lone Star Ag Credit Thanks Weatherford Office Customers

WEATHERFORD, Texas – On the heels of returning more than $12 million to its customers this spring, Lone Star Ag Credit recently threw a customer appreciation dinner for its Weatherford branch customers at the Fire Oak Grill. More than 150 borrowers and guests turned out for the agricultural lending co-op's annual event, which included a steak dinner and live music.

"Our borrowers are the reason we are in business. We can't say thank you enough for their loyalty and support," said Lindsey Ellsworth, Vice President Branch Manager in the co-op's Weatherford office.

At the dinner, stockholders were reminded that because they are part of a cooperative, eligible borrower can from time to time receive a patronage dividend check from Lone Star. Based on the organization's strong 2014 financial performance, Lone Star's board of directors declared a $12.1 million cash patronage payment that was distributed to stockholders in April. The patronage dividend effectively reduced borrowers' interest rate for 2014 by approximately 1 percentage point.

As part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, Lone Star Ag Credit has been a reliable source of financing for rural America since 1917. The lender provides financing for agricultural and recreational real estate, rural homes, equipment, livestock, operating expenses and agribusiness firms.

Headquartered in Fort Worth, it has credit offices in Abilene, Cleburne, Corsicana, Denton, Fort Worth, Hillsboro, Lampasas, Mount Pleasant, New Boston, Paris, Round Rock, Sherman, Stephenville, Sweetwater Temple, Waco and Weatherford.
