Lone Star Ag Credit Thanks Stephenville Customers

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Lone Star Ag Credit's Stephenville Credit Office hosted their annual customer appreciation dinner for its branch's customers at City Limits recently. More than 175 borrowers and guests turned out for the agricultural lending co-op's annual event.

"The dinner allows us thank our customers face to face, we would not be successful without them" said Credit Office President Gerrit Schouten.

At the dinner, stockholders were reminded that because they are part of a cooperative, eligible borrowers can from time to time receive a patronage dividend check from Lone Star. Based on the organization's strong 2014 financial performance, Lone Star's board of directors declared a $12.1 million cash patronage payment that was distributed to stockholders in April. The patronage dividend effectively reduced borrowers' interest rate for 2014 by approximately 1 percentage point.

As part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, Lone Star Ag Credit has been a reliable source of financing for rural America since 1917. The lender provides financing for agricultural and recreational real estate, rural homes, agricultural equipment, livestock, ag operating expenses and agribusiness firms.
