Springtown Graduate Receives Scholarship from Lone Star Ag Credit

FORT WORTH, Texas – Jimmie Gee of Springtown is one of six recipients of a 2015 scholarship from Lone Star Ag Credit. Gee and the other winners each received a $2,500 scholarship.

Gee is a recent graduate of Springtown High School. She plans to attend Texas A&M University next fall and double-major in agricultural sciences and animal science. She participated in honors band, varsity golf and the Texas Longhorn Breeders of Tomorrow Association. She showed swine, sheep and cattle, and served in several leadership roles in the Springtown FFA Chapter. Gee also is an active member of the Hilltop Family Church.

On behalf of Lone Star Ag Credit, it is a pleasure to award scholarships to students like this." Lindsey Ellsworth, Weatherford Credit Office President, said. Lone Star Ag Credit provides financing for rural land, rural homes, agribusinesses, livestock, agricultural equipment and operating expenses. It is headquartered in Fort Worth and has credit offices in Abilene, Cleburne, Corsicana, Denton, Fort Worth, Hillsboro, Lampasas, Mount Pleasant, New Boston, Paris, Round Rock, Sherman, Stephenville, Sweetwater, Temple, Waco and Weatherford.

The lending organization is a part of the nationwide Farm Credit System.
