Lone Star Ag Credit Treats Paris Office Customers to Dinner

PARIS, Texas – Just after returning more than $12 million to its customers this spring, Lone Star Ag Credit threw a customer appreciation dinner for its Paris branch customers at Heritage Hall recently. More than 140 borrowers and guests turned out for the agricultural lending co-op's annual event.

"We look forward to seeing the stockholders each year at this dinner, they are the reason we are here" said Credit Office President Barbara Golden.

At the dinner, stockholders were reminded that because they are part of a cooperative, eligible borrowers can from time to time receive a patronage dividend check from Lone Star. Based on the organization's strong 2014 financial performance, Lone Star's board of directors declared a $12.1 million cash patronage payment that was distributed to stockholders in April. The patronage dividend effectively reduced borrowers' interest rate for 2014 by approximately 1 percentage point.

As part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, Lone Star Ag Credit has been a reliable source of financing for rural America since 1917. The lender provide financing for agricultural and recreational real estate, rural homes, equipment, livestock, operating expenses and agribusiness firms.
