Lone Star Ag Credit Announces New Credit Office President for its Abilene and Sweetwater Branches
Abilene, Texas — Lone Star Ag Credit is excited to announce that Jason Pettit recently accepted the position of credit office president for the cooperative's Abilene and Sweetwater offices.
Pettit has nearly 20 years of Farm Credit experience. He joined Lone Star in 2004, working in the Stephenville office, where he most recently was vice president of lending. He has extensive knowledge of financing both rural real estate and the production needs of farmers and ranchers. His family owns and operates a fourth-generation commercial cow-calf ranch in Comanche County.
A graduate of Tarleton State University with a major in ag business, Pettit served on the Erath County Beef Committee for more than 10 years, was vice chairman and treasurer for the Erath County Pasture to Packer Program, and was the livestock judging coach for the Erath County 4-H program. He looks forward to getting involved in his new local community and servicing its rural financing needs.

Lone Star recently distributed a cash patronage of $11.95 million based on its 2013 earnings.
