Lone Star Ag Credit Thanks New Boston Credit Office Customers

NEW BOSTON, Texas — Over 200 stockholders and special guests of Lone Star Ag Credit's New Boston credit office attended the rural financing cooperative's annual customer appreciation dinner on April 16. The event was held at the Elk Meadow Game Ranch in De Kalb.

"The people we serve are important to us!" "We take this time each year to let them know we appreciate their business." Credit Office President Brody Baird said. "This gathering is one way we can give back to our member-owners and say thank you."

At the dinner, stockholders were reminded that because they are part of a cooperative, eligible borrowers would shortly receive a patronage dividend check from Lone Star. Based on the cooperative's strong 2014 financial performance, its board of directors declared a $12.1 million in cash patronage payment to stockholders to be distributed in April. The patronage dividend effectively reduced borrowers' interest rate for 2014 by approximately 1 percentage point.

Lone Star staff Brody Baird, Rustin Watson, Brooke Johnson and Paula Edelhauser presented gifts to everyone who attended and held a drawing for door prizes, including a 50-inch flat-screen television.
