Cranfills Gap HS Graduate Receives Scholarship from Lone Star Ag Credit

FORT WORTH, Texas – Jordain Williams of Hamilton is one of six recipients of a 2015 scholarship from Lone Star Ag Credit. Williams and the other winners each received a $2,500 scholarship.

Williams is a recent graduate of Cranfills Gap High School. She plans to attend Tarleton State University next fall. She has been given her time to her community in many ways by cleaning kennels at the local vet clinic, doing highway clean up and volunteering at the annual Septemberfest. Miss Williams was also active in 4H, FFA and the Texas Red Angus Association.

"It is a reminder when we see outstanding contributions to and regard for agriculture by students like Jordain Williams that the future is bright! On behalf of Lone Star Ag Credit, it is a pleasure to award scholarships to students like this." Macy Blankenship, Lampasas Credit Office President said.

Lone Star Ag Credit provides financing for rural land, rural homes, agribusinesses, livestock, agricultural equipment and operating expenses. It is headquartered in Fort Worth and has credit offices in Abilene, Cleburne, Corsicana, Denton, Fort Worth, Hillsboro, Lampasas, Mount Pleasant, New Boston, Paris, Round Rock, Sherman, Stephenville, Sweetwater, Temple, Waco and Weatherford.

The lending organization is a part of the nationwide Farm Credit System.
