Lone Star Ag Credit Supports the Tarrant County Ag Scholarship Corp. Gala

Fort Worth, Texas – Lone Star, ACA (Lone Star Ag Credit) hosted a table at the Tarrant Ag Scholarship Corporation Gala. The auction and awards dinner was held at the Fort Worth YWCA on April 25, 2013.

There are over 500 FFA and 4H students in Tarrant County. The scholarships this group provides are given to students that have participated in one or both of these organizations. The kids also must have entered the Tarrant County Jr. Livestock Show for their qualifying year in high school.

The Tarrant Ag Scholarship Corporation has awarded over $98,000 in college scholarships since 1995. $19,000 in scholarships was given to students this year. The TAGSCO Gala is held annually to raise funds. The evening included a great meal, live entertainment, an auction and raffle. Lone Star, ACA staff, Jim Bob Reynolds and his wife Thedra, Lindsey Ellsworth, Julie Porter Mayfield and Lydia Laske attended the event.

Lone Star Ag Credit is a rural financing cooperative that offers a variety of loan programs at competitive interest rates for agricultural and recreational real estate, farm and ranch operating needs, equipment and livestock purchases, agribusiness and country homes.
