Consider an opportunity to serve on the Lone Star Ag Credit Board of Directors

Lone Star Ag Credit is governed by a Board of Directors that is responsible for the safe and sound operation of the Association. The board establishes policies, provides strategic direction, hires and compensates the CEO, and oversees all major functions of the Association. The board consists of stockholder-elected directors who comprise the majority of the board positions as well as non-stockholder or outside directors who are elected by the board members. Director's terms are generally three years, and the terms are staggered to ensure governance continuity from year to year.

This year, there are three geographically-defined director positions up for election, including Regions I, IV and VI (see regions below). A candidate for a stockholder-elected director position must either reside or operate in the region of the corresponding board position.

The Nominating Committee is scheduled to meet in early May to consider nominations for these open positions and for the 2019 Nominating Committee. We are looking for qualified candidates who believe in and are passionate about the Ag industry and rural lifestyle of the customers we serve, and who want to make a difference in their lives. If you are interested in serving, and would like to be considered for a board position, contact Luke Gallegos at 817-332-6565 or Luke.Gallegos@LoneStarAgCredit.com for additional information concerning eligibility requirements. Deadline is May 2, 2018 for submissions.
