Local Lending Co-op Shows Appreciation for Its Customers

It's not often that a lender treats its customers to a fine dining experience. But at the rural lending co-op Lone Star Ag Credit, hosting customer appreciation dinners for its members is an annual event.

Recently, the co-op's Sweetwater office held a dinner at the Sweetwater Country Club. Approximately 100 borrowers attended the event to enjoy good food and fellowship. Every customer received a parting gift, and many lucky attendees also received gift cards.

"It's good to see our customers at this dinner," said Jason Jones, vice president of lending in the Sweetwater office. "We appreciate our stockholders and hold this gathering each year to thank them for their business."

This year the 100-year-old lending cooperative is hosting dinners for each of its 16 branches across North and Central Texas, as well as open houses, annual stockholder luncheons and other events. The Sweetwater office serves Borden, Fisher, Kent, Mitchell, Nolan and Scurry counties.
