Lone Star Ag Credit Sponsors Public Speaking Contest

Dallas, Txas - Lone Star, ACA (Lone Star Ag Credit), the premier ag-lender in Texas, is proud to sponsor the State Fair of Texas Public Speaking Contest.  The contest will be held, Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Dallas.  4-H and FFA members in Texas from ages 8 to 18 will compete in 7 Divisions which include: Western Heritage, Natural Resources, Animal Science, Livestock Show Ethics, Agribusiness, Agricultural Policy and Agriscience. 

It is the second year for the State Fair of Texas to host a Public Speaking contest and the first year for Lone Star Ag Credit to sponsor it. The contest will be held on Ag Awareness Day and the finals will be held on the Chevy Main Stage with Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples present.

The State Fair of Texas began in 1886 and is still going strong today.  It is held at the Fair Park about 2 miles east of Dallas and will begin September 25, 2009 and end October 18, 2009.
